Claiming for Accident and Sickness:
If you are still unable to work 30 days following your full sick pay period, and you are in receipt of Statuatory Sick Pay from your employer, you may make a claim and it will be paid Back to Day One This means that you can make a claim after just 30 or more days of not working through unemployment and the claim will be backdated to the first day of the 30. . You may make multiple claims for the life of the policy that can continue until you reach 65 or you cancel it, whichever come first.
Please be aware that like other protection insurance policies you must be in receipt of Statutory Sick Pay in order to claim.

If you are not in work more than 30 days after signing up for Job-Seekers Allowance, you can claim and your cover will be paid Back to Day One This means that you can make a claim after just 30 or more days of not working through unemployment and the claim will be backdated to the first day of the 30. . You may make multiple claims for the life of the policy that can continue until you reach 65 or you cancel it, whichever comes first.
Please be aware that like other protection insurance policies you must be in receipt of Job-Seekers Allowance in order to claim. Also, in keeping with other insurance policies, you cannot claim for unemployment for the first 90 days from the start date of the policy - please see Exclusions.
