Unemployment Insurance
Unemployment Insurance UK
Unemployment Insurance can be obtained by purchasing an Accident Sickness and Unemployment policy, also called Mortgage Payment Protection or Income Payment Protection (ASU). These policies will pay you a set monthly amount for a set consecutive period of time should accident, sickness or unemployment cause you to lose your income.
When times are good very few people consider Unemployment Insurance, assuming that their job is safe or, at the very least, they will find other work quickly. The recent turbulent employment market has shown that the unexpected can happen. Those without unemployment insurance have found their home and their lifestyle at risk. Those who took our unemployment insurance when times were good had their safety net in place when the worst happened.
It is not too late to take out Unemployment Insurance if you do not have it. Ant Insurance has the shortest initial exclusion period on the market at just 60 days for Mortgage Protection and 90 days for Income Protection. If you have not been personally told or notified that your job is at risk and don’t expect to be within the next 60 or 90 days, (dependant on your chosen Unemployment Insurance cover), you can still get cover that may make the difference between keeping and losing your home.
Unemployment Insurance can cost less than your Sky package and yet it can keep the roof over your head long after your Sky package has been cancelled.
